Our little people class is designed for children age 18 months to young 3s. A typical day starts off with individual choice play, where children can choose from a variety of activities, such as painting, playing in our loft area with dolls, playing with blocks, trains or our light table. We also set up an exploration table on a regular basis. We use the exploration table to play with macaroni and learn about textures and transferring items from one container to the other; to learn about bathtime by giving baby dolls a bath, and other items. We have a snack time and read some books. Then it's time to go outside and play. When we come inside, we play in the music room. We learn about music from lots of different cultures, we sing and dance, and we listen to storytellers.
