Parent Enrichment Classes

Positive Parenting:  How to effectively communicate with your preschooler and avoid consistent power struggles, tantrums, and difficult behaviors.    Being a parent may be the most important job you'll ever have, but it's also the hardest!  Sometimes it's hard to stay positive, but it is worth it.  At these CLC parent workshops, we will discuss and share techniques we all can use as parents of toddlers and preschoolers.  It's easy to get frustrated when it seems like our kids are not listening or following simple directions.  Being firm and setting clear limits doesn't have to communicated in a negative manner.  Learning positive ways to discipline creates a happier relationship between parents and children.

All classes are free to CLC Parents.

Parenting classes are conducted once a month during lunch bunch.  Upcoming dates for the 2010-11 school year will be posted soon.

Topics from last year include:

* Dealing with Your Child's Anger

* Taking Care of Me - the PARENT

* Children and Holiday Stress

* How to manage difficult behaviors
