Enrichment via the Arts Summer Camp

The Creative Learning Center for Very Young Children adjacent to the UNC School of the Arts campus in Winston-Salem offers 2 week long, 1/2 day (9-12:00, Lunch Bunch optional) summer camp programs for your 3-5 year old to enjoy. You can attend one or both weeks.
Our schedule will be following this routine each day:
9:00--Free Choice activities in the Music and Movement room
9:30--Special Guests/Rainbow (group) time in Circle Room--singing, a story, etc. followed by a short time for a readiness game with colors, shapes, etc. at their special place
10:00--Snack in the kitchen
10:15--Playground/Outdoor learning experiences--before it gets too hot!
11:00--Art in kitchen, then Free Choice activities (CLC ART SHOW @ Downtown Library)
11:45--Clean up and story time
12:00--Reunite with special folks to go home for lunch or have lunch bunch with classmates at CLC.
Special events July 19-23: The Arts in Action!
July 19--Meet the teachers--Ms.Othella and Ms. Toni, learn about the day's happenings, routine for the camp. Songs, Counting, and Story about dancers
July 20--Meet the Dancers--walking trip to UNCSA
July 21--"Wet Wednesday"--wear bathing suits, frolic in the water
July 22--Meet the Percussion Musician--John Beck, walking trip to UNCSA
July 23--Meet the Cello Musician--Sarah Huesman, a CLC alumni
Special events July 26-30: Farm and Frolic!
July 26--Meet the teachers--Ms. Othella and Ms. Toni, learn about this week's activities, begin with farm theme, "Old MacDonald Had a Farm", stories about farm animals
July 27--Meet the Live Chicken!--compare how we are alike and different from a chicken, begin making a paper mache chicken for art project
July 28--"Wet Wednesday"--wear bathing suits, enjoy bubbles, sprinkler, little pools, boats
July 29--Meet the Storyteller--Cami Sharik, songs, and continue working on paper mache chicken
July 30--Meet Chef Dave and Deborah his assistant--use of the 5 senses, with the added benefit of getting to taste!!
Tuition: $125 per week
Add Lunch Bunch from 12:00-12:55pm for an additional $4 per day
Registration fee: $25, due with registration
